Interdepartmental Micro project competitions were organized under IETE Student Forum (ISF) on 27th April 2019 in Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), MLR Institute of Technology. Dr. M. Srinivasa Rao, Professor, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad-Campus and Dr. Narasimham, Senior Engineer in BARC, Hyderabad had evaluated the projects.

MLR Institute of Technologies, Dundigal has conducted Innovative Ideas Competition under ISF for II and III BTech ECE students on 21st September 2019 under the theme, “Farmers-Latest Technologies.” Prizes have been given for the winners. 20 batches have participated in the event and presented their ideas. Awards were given for the best idea. Dr.S.V.S.Prasad, HOD ECE and Dr.V.Mahendra, Professor, ECE have presented the awards for the best idea.
Department of ECE had conducted workshop on PCB designing for II year ECE students on 29th August 2017 under ISTE student chapter.

A workshop was conducted on “Satellite Image Processing using ENVI Software” on 2nd July 2016 for ECE students at MLR Institute of Technology by Mrs. V. Satya Sahithi, National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO, Hyderabad.

MLR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has conducted Guest lecture on Electronic Devices and Circuits for II year ECE students by Dr. K.V.N.S.V.P.L. Narasimham, Scientist BARC and Chairman for Technical Program Sub-Committee IETE on 29/07/17.
Twenty One students of 2nd year ECE have passed NI-CLAD exam successfully on 18th march 2017.
Fifteen students of 3rd year ECE have passed NI-CLAD exam successfully on 18th march 2017.
Twenty nine students of 4th year ECE have passed NI-CLAD exam successfully on 3rd march 2017.

Bineeth Patil, Ms. Sai Lakshmi and Mr. Vishnu Kumar, students of 4th year ECE – C had won 2nd prize in “IEEE Engineering College Expo” organized by Nalla Narsimha Reddy Group of Institutions on 18th February 2017, for their project “Child Rescue and Pipeline Inspection Robot” underthe guidance of Mr. Raju Naik, Asst. Professor & Ms. Jyothi K, Assoc. Professor, ECE, MLRIT, Dundigal, Hyderabad. B. Sai Prakash & M. Lavanya Sri of 3rd year ECE – B had won 1st prize in “IEEE Engineering College Expo” organized by Nalla Narsimha Reddy Group of Institutions on 18th February 2017, for their project “Quad wheel Omni directional Robot” under the guidance of Mr. E. Amareshwar, Asst. Professor & Mr. J. Chandra Shekhar, Asst. Professor, ECE, MLRIT, Dundigal, Hyderabad.
Under IETE STUDENT FORUM, a Skill Development Workshop on “PCB Fabrication” was conducted on 8th February 2017 for Diploma students.
MLR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has organized a one day Guest Lecture on “Electronic Devices and Circuits” for II year ECE students on 25th August, 2018 under ISF. Dr. K. V. N. S. V. P. L. Narasimham, Scientific Officer (F), BARC, Hyderabad had given the lecture to 190 students who had attended.
Uma Surya Sai & Samyuktha of 3rd year ECE – A had won consolation prize in “ANVESHANA Science & Engineering Fair” organized by Agasthya International Foundation and synopsis on 24th January 2017, for their project “Digital Watermarking” underthe guidance of Dr. A.V. Paramkusam, HOD, ECE, MLRIT.
Under IETE STUDENT FORUM, a guest lecture on “Satellite Communication” was conducted on 17th January 2017 for IV B.Tech students and the guest faculty was Mr. Terala Lingam, scientist, ISRO.
Forty students had visited the INFOSYS, Gachibowli campus on 9th& 10th January 2017. The team was led by Mr. M. Raju Naik, Asst. Professor, ECE, MLRIT and Mr. V. Sai Kumar Reddy, Asst. Professor, ECE, MLRIT.
Micro Project Competition was conducted on 2nd and 10th November 2016 for ECE Students. Sri. C. R. Sarma – Vice Chairman and Sri. A. Sarveswara Rao, Vice Chairman, IETE Hyderabad were invited as the Chief Guests for Evaluating the Projects. Engineer’s Day was celebrated on 14th and 16th September 2016. Events such as Poster Presentation, Quiz, Paper Presentation, Robotic Workshop, Cross word and circuit debugging were conducted.
